Join GROW

A citizens’ observatory for growers, researchers and decision makers.

Do you grow your own food? Have an allotment? Own a small farm? Are you involved in a community or school garden?

Are you taking practical steps to regenerate the soil for future generations? GROW provides an opportunity to develop and share your knowledge and skills.

I am currently putting together a database of permaculture farms and smallholders as part of GROW, an EU funded soils project: http://growobservatory.org/. This database will be used to recruit famers for the GROW project and to map permaculture farms in Europe. So far I have identified over 200 farms, mainly in northern Europe. I am now trying to find contacts in every European country.

Many thanks for your help and all best wishes,

Konference: Economy, People and Planet

Af Jens Hansen

epp

I weekenden 1.-2. oktober afholder Omstilling Nu konferencen Economy, People & Planet 2016 – Embracing solutions for a viable transition.

Work-life balance behandles af Valerie Bryson, Huddersfield University

Få fat i pamfletten her: FGA Booklet.

The day after the International Permaculture Conference
finished there was a Permaculture
Research meeting. There was around 80
guests, people interested or
involved in research.

Chris Warburton, the  Permaculture Association Britain research
coordinator, guided the session.

Many interesting research groups came out of it, but one of the most promising ones, is a perennial polyculture and forest garden world research project. This group have met already 4 times since its creation and it arranged a workshop during the convergence to get more forest garden interested people to participate. Now there is a core group of approximately 10 people and an extended network of more than 60 people around the world.

The group will work on developing a feasible project to gather
worldwide information on polycultures, to help show the academia the value of these growing methods as well as to expand the tricks and techniques among the world permaculture community.
